I want to go on the record for saying....

"I want to go on the record" has become my favorite phase as of lately. Just like a journalist it's my favorite phrase because it basically implies that what the person is about to say is true and factually, which means you can go and check the facts to verify that said comment(s) are truthful. Because I'm sure you no one wants to be labeled as a lair due to what we do to liars in this country. Oh you know, we give the liars a national holiday and celebrate them for years to come. But that is an entirely different topic let me stick to the one at hand.

As I self-reflect ( I guess there will be some blogs about revealing one's self, so the possibility is no more it is a reality, and yes I know I posted said blog in July and yes I'm fully aware its the end of October but come on....) I discovered that I'm the journalist that loves for people to always be "on the record". I'm a fact driven person and that is all that I want when I ask you a question. Your emotions or how you feel about are, well I can't really give you a number where they are on the list just know they aren't in the top 5. Don't take this as me discounting your feelings/emotions because they are important but getting answers are more important to me.

While an analogy may help someone to understand you better by transplanting themselves into said analogy and taking on your role and understanding things from your perspective. I prefer things straight up, no chaser. So, if I ask you if you like apples please don't go into a moment and start to explain how "Johnny Apple Seed" is your favorite story and because of him there are apple trees planted all over the USA and how that brings joy to your heart. Can you simply just say yes, I like apples my favorite apples are.... And yes I understand you have a right to express yourself the way you wish and with that I will express myself: I want to go on the record for saying I like straight talk and for me straight talk are facts. I'm not a fan of playing 21 questions to help me understand your analogy.

When a Tomato met a Red Pepper in a pot

Finally.....I shall repeat.....Finally!!! I've found a GREAT recipe for a tomato soup. If I could express the happiness my heart feels (and I guess my stomach more importantly) when the textured tomato soup goes down but the words I try to type will not do it justice. I'm an advit lover of tomato soup, from the classic Campbell's in a can to the wonderful tomato bisque sold at Dominick's, so to find a recipe that is easier beyond belief and is so tasty is, is, is, once again I can't find an adjective to describe what this recipe has done for a tomato soup lover. I came across the recipe via Sunny Anderson (now thinking many of my food blogs have been recipes of hers ...well hey she is a good chef) while watching an episode of "Cookin' For Real". I love the addition of the red peppers to the soup gives it more depth of flavor.

Maybe, Possibly, Perhaps....

After having a great conversation with a great friend , a thought crossed my mind. The time has come to take a closer look at self or rather reveal self. I've chewed over the idea for some weeks and while I know the outcome of the process will be great the doing it publicly (which is completely out of my comfort zone) part I'm not so sure about. I know it will give so many people clarity (past, present, & possibly future) of my core person, how I am and why I do some of what I do. Stay tuned...Maybe, Possibly, Perhaps there will be more....

Tex Mexin it Up

So I didn't make the Cordon Blu chicken bites instead I found another recipe in a mag for Tex Mex Calzones....and it was so good...definitely underestimated the Salsa Verde, I think I will start to add this to all my tacos I make....it just added some extra goodness to liven up a standard meal....Tomorrow I will try another dish I found on FN by Sunny Anderson (Chicken Sausage Pasta w/ spicy vodka sauce). It should be an easy meal to prepare after work and I can't wait to try it...I've had vodka sauce before and one day I say a bottled version at the supermarket and I tried it and was very disappointed....there was no comparison on the version at the restaurant...so now that I've found a recipe to make it I can't wait hope it is just as good or better.
